Cory, Marcy, & kids

Sean's brother Cory and his wife Marcy came to visit with their cute kids: Riley, Marc, Jocelyn and Jaxon (our first time to see Jaxon.) Jaxon was born just a few weeks ago with a slight cleft lip and pallet. He is just the sweetest little guy. I had so much fun cuddling him. He had his first visit with the surgeon to decide when to start his treatment.
My kids always love to have cousins over. They are so blessed to have so many cousins on both sides. I have so many fun memories with my own cousins. I am so glad my kids live close to some of their cousins and just a short drive to the rest of their cousins so they can grow up together.

6 Random Things About Me

#1. I am afraid of cats (kittens included.) I have gotten better about it. I used to have nightmares about them and they give me the crawly feelings all over. I think I got this from my mom who is also afraid of cats. I remember as a little girl when a cat would come around and my mom would panic.

#2. I worry that people don't like me or I offend them with the things I say and I worry about it nonstop day and night. (even right now. I am a worrier) I am a little cautious when I talk because of this.

#3. I don't know my right and lefts. Sean makes fun of me when he tells me to turn left and I turn right. He always says, "it's your other left." I can't figure it out and I really try hard and I think I'm going the right way, but I am usually always wrong.

#4. I have my own 22 semi automatic rifle. I like to go target shooting with it and even though I'm not good with my left and rights I am actually a pretty good shot.

#5. I would love to have a tummy tuck. I hate looking pregnant all of the time. This is really one of my fantasy. Maybe a sit up or two would help and a little less chocolate, but I would just as soon get the tummy tuck. :)

#6. I love sports. My favorites are basketball, football, baseball, and gymnastics. I watch more sports than Sean, Matt and Caiden combined. In fact if there is a game on at our house it's more than likely me that turned it on. The Jazz are my favorite. (Sean gave me tickets to go see the play offs for mothers day this year one of my best mothers day gifts ever.) I loved every minute of it. I have been watching them since I was 12. Yes that was way back in the 80's. I remember when I was about 14 and I was in Los Angeles watching them on a tv screen at some pizza restaurant. They were playing the Lakers it was so fun to cheer them on in front of the Laker fans.
I tag Karen, Sarah, Kevin, Carrie, Julie, and Jill(when she gets her blog going)

In Loving Memory of Todd

Sean's cousin passed away unexpectedly, Tracy "Todd" Farnsworth. She was only 37 years old and left behind 3 children. She was an amazing person. We were so lucky to have known her. Sean said she was like a sister to their family, because their families did a lot together while they were growing up. After Sean and I were married we lived by her for a while in the same apartment complex and she was always so sweet and fun to talk to. She had an amazing talent for writing poetry and one of the poems she wrote was read at her funeral. It's really neat, because it fits the situation so well and she wrote it four years ago. I thought in memory of her I would post her poem:

Just So You Know...

If I could
I would find a way to fly back to you.
I'd stand beside you and hold your hand

I'd give up my wings and halo,
just to hold you, but I can't

I will be with you no matter where or how far,
But please remember how strong you are

Heaven came to me, and I know you're sad,
I'm there for you when you're feeling bad

I know you can feel it when I kiss your face,
I'm not gone,
I'm just in another place

I stand just beyond the veil,
that you can't see,
But understand that I'm still me

I'll be waiting for you
with patience and love,
when it becomes your time to come above

Please live your life
for I have lived mine,
I'll be here for you when it's your time

All the tears that you shed,
I catch in my hands,
Cause I know that they're full
Of the memories we've had

I want you to know
That it's beautiful here
Beyond your imagination,
so please don't fear

I'll be right there beside you,
Every step of the way,
so remember when you miss me,
I'm ok

I'm telling you this
Just so you know...
How much I love you,
But I had to go...
...............Todd Farnsworth Sept. 27, 2004

Life is so short and we never know when someone we love will be called home and I know it's only temporary and we will see our loved ones again. Its times like this that remind me how important life is. I think of how blessed I am to have such a great family. I am grateful for my testimony of the Savior and for the knowledge of the gospel. I couldn't imagine my life without mine or Sean's families. I am so grateful that we can be together forever.

Matt's Birthday

Happy Birthday Matt!
Matt turned 14 today!!! I am feeling really old now. It seems unreal that I have been a mom for 14 years (you think I would get better at it.) I love being a mom though. It is the best thing in the world.
In tradition here are some things I love about Matt: #1. He is helpful around the house #2. I love his smile #3. He has good goals set for himself #4 He has a desire to serve Heavenly Father and be a missionary #5 He is a good friend #6 He is a hard worker especially doing yard work. (I don't even have to ask him, he mows and trims the lawn at least once a week. It is so nice, not to have to worry about it.) #6 I think he's cute #7 He is patient and easy going #8 He never gives up even in time of trials #9 He is self motivated. #10 He is athletic.#11 He's easy to talk to. #12 He is great at riding his motor bike and doing jumps. #13 He's tough and helpful with moving heavy things around the house. and #14. he's just all around a great kid. Love you Matt:)

Caiden's Track Meet

This time of year gets really busy with all the extra activities we have, Matt, Caiden and Lindsey's birthdays and trying to wrap up the end of the school year. It has been a challenge for me to find time to blog or anything else for that matter, but thanks to all the rain we have been having, their baseball games have been canceled and I have found a little down time.
Here we are at Caiden's track meet last Thursday. Caiden signed up for the 100, 200 and softball throw. I was glad the weather was nice that day, unlike the rain we have had the last two days. (I can't complain to much though, I do love how green and pretty everything looks)

Sean's brother Cory and his family (Marcy, Riley, Marc, Jocelyn and Jaxon)came with us to watch and, my sister Jill and her kids (Aubrey, Coye, Bryn, and Mallory) were there too They were watching my nephew Tyler. He ran the 100, 200, soft ball throw and he was on a relay team. Caiden and Tyler both did great!! :) and the rest of us had fun watching them and eating (one of my favorite things to do).

Happy Birthday Lindsey

Lindsey is 9 years old now. So I decided to write 9 reasons why I love Lindsey: 1) She is so helpful, I don't know what it is... if it's because she is a little girl or just a natural, but she is always helping with the housework and with Tanner. It is so nice to have a little helper. 2) I love her smile. 3) She can be a little shy, but she is still a friendly person. 4) I love it when she gives me a make over and does my hair, and nails. 5) She is caring. 6) Lindsey will give me a big hug and tell me she loves me out of the blue and it always seems to be at a time when I need it the most. 7) She's a little princess and loves all girlie stuff. 8) I love to go shopping with her. She makes it so fun and she doesn't complain. 9) She has a very contagious laugh! (she loves to tease people) {she gets that from her dad} :)

Happy Birthday Lindsey, We love you

refreshing

One of our favorite things to do when we visit grandma is to go to the park and play on the splash pad. It can be so refreshing on a hot day. (I am so excited for summer!!!! yeah)

Lindsey's Track Meet

Lindsey's 3rd grade track meet was Tuesday. She signed up to do the 50 meter, softball throw, and standing long jump. She said she was only going to do one race and it had to be short, running isn't her thing!!! She did really good on all of her events though and she ended up enjoying it. Don't plan on seeing her out running any marathons though she said once a year at the track meet is enough for her. I'm proud of her for being brave to try something new.

Here she is doing the standing long jump.

Tanner and Hallie had a fun time cheering Lindsey on and making dandelion wishes.

They did a little racing too.

Spanish Fork Stock Show

(Lucky's on the left)
We weighed Lucky in at the stock show and he needed to weigh 93 pounds to show and he only weighed 87. It was kind of sad after all that hard work, but Caiden still showed him in the showmanship round. He did a great job for his first year showing. He made sure to smile at the judge the whole time and his lamb didn't get away!

That sad part was when they had to sell them. we sold Lucky at the Auction because he didn't make weight. It was hard to say good bye. Tanner was sitting on my lap the day after and told me he wanted to go get Lucky back. We can't wait to do it again next year! : )

great invention

My sister Jill and I went to Tyler and Caiden's Dare Graduation the other day and she had this little horse leash on Bryn so she wouldn't run away. It looked like so much fun Tanner wanted a turn too.

Silly Girls

Look at these gorgeous girls. They were having so much fun just being silly and playing house and dress up together. Lindsey was in heaven.

Lindsey asks me just about on a daily basis if I will have a baby sister for her. I almost think these 3 could pass as sisters.
