Two new favorite blogs

My friend Sarah has started a new blog called
"The Joys of Motherhood"it is so funny to read and I can relate with their experiences. Check it out for a good laugh and to relate with other moms.

Also my friend Kristie recommended this blog
"The Errand of Angels" . I was excited when I found out I was related to a couple of the contributers. They have some great ideas on family home evening, food storage, home decorating, organizing and more.

There is a Forever

"Here is NOW and there is FOREVER....we are living for "now" and we are living so that we will be together forever."
~author unknown~

About 9 years ago I was in the young women's presidency in St. George. I loved this calling and I am so blessed to be in the young womens again. The young women and youth are so precious and to be around them has blessed my life so much. Each one of them {then and now} have touched my life in ways I could never imagine. A couple of days ago I heard that Kassie (one of the young woman from St. George)and her son were killed in a tragic car accident. My heart goes out to her family at this trying time. When things like this happen, it's a reminder of how quickly life can change. I don't question why, because I know that it's suppose to be. Nothing is by chance. Every person that comes into our lives no matter how short or how long isn't by chance. I am so grateful for the gospel and my testimony of Jesus Christ to know with out a doubt we can see our loved ones again. I am so grateful for the time "NOW" that I have to spend with my family and friends. I am more thankful that it can be "Forever".

“Death is not what some people imagine. It is only like going into another room. In that other room we shall find … the dear women and men and the sweet children we have loved and lost.” (God and My Neighbor, Chicago: Charles H. Kerr and Co.)

Thomas S. Monson said:
“God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (Gen. 1:27.) To man was given dominion over every living thing. Earth became a proving ground, a testing station, a provider of needed experience.
"We laugh, we cry, we work, we play, we love, we live. And then we die. And dead we would remain but for one man and his mission, even Jesus of Nazareth. He was born in a stable, cradled in a manger. His birth fulfilled the inspired pronouncements of many prophets. He was taught from on high. He provided the life, the light, and the way. Multitudes followed him. Children adored him. The haughty rejected him. He spoke in parables. He taught by example. He lived a perfect life. Through his ministry, blind men saw, deaf men heard, and lame men walked. Even the dead returned to life."

SwImMiNg LeSsOnS

My sisters told me about Abbie, who teaches swimming lessons at her mom's house. I decided to try it out and I am so happy I did. They learned so much this year. In years past my kids took swimming lessons and it just seemed like they learned some basics, but still struggled. This year they learned a lot and made so much improvement. Abbie is so sweet and they loved having their cousins in there class too!!

Fiesta Days

Every year on the 24th of July our city has a big celebration. I love this holiday. It's a week long party. There is something going on every day for a week. We started off with a movie in the park, children's parade, fish rodeo, BBQ's, carnival, rodeo, grand parade, and fireworks
The little girls loved the princess's

my tough little nephew Coye Karate chopping a board!

I love how excited the kids get. Chasing candy is the best part of the whole parade.

Lindsey waiting for the parade to start.

More waiting, having cousins to sit by makes the wait more fun though!!!

Tanner at the carnival. His favorite ride this year was the dragon.

camping

every summer we go camping with my family. We always have so much fun together and it's so nice to get a way from all the busy day to day stuff and just relax. The kids love to play all day with their cousins. I love to sit and read or play games. We also ride horses and go to the lake and swim or fish.
heres our camp spot one of two of our favorites. It's called Shady Flats.

I seen this little squirrel on the trail by the lake he was with a friend, but his friend was scared and ran before I could take the picture. (I think that might be him on the right edge of the picture)
Here is grandpa Garth sitting on a chair, watching the horses and the kids. He's such a great grandpa. He always make sure everyone gets all the rides they want.
There was wild flowers every where. My favorites were these pink roses. They looked so pretty against the green.
Caiden built the cabin style fire. This is a picture of him starting it. (Tyler, Kevin, Coye and Matt standing by in case he needs some help!)

Making Memories

I've seen this on a few of my friends blogs and thought it would be fun. I hope all of you will play. I want to see all the memories out there. Here's how it works:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Youth Conference

I love being in the young womens. We have the best youth in our ward and I get a long so well with all of the leaders. I feel like we have such a good friendship.
It's also so nice to spend time with Matt at combined youth activities. I especially like to go do baptisms for the dead and spend time with him in the temple. This is the best calling. I have been so blessed. Each one of the girls have touched me and blessed me in my life so much. These pictures were taken at youth conference. We went to Yuba Lake and to the Manti Pageant. We did a service project and picked up garbage around the lake. (that's why you see a few pictures with everyone carrying garbage bags)
